Adobe MAX Opener

How do you create a 3D projection-mapped experience on a stage 425 feet across by 30 feet deep, with facets and overlapping screens combining front and rear projection? Very carefully! Along with PIX Productions and our animation vendor Pretty Damn Sweet, I produced this opening experience for Adobe’s 2016 MAX conference over a period of 6 months from conception to completion. The final deliverable was a 15,000 x 5000 pixel experience that captivated the audience and moved the CEO of Adobe, Shantanu Narayan, to exclaim: “Who says you need goggles to have a virtual reality experience?”
